FICA stands for the Financial Intelligence Centre Act. As a platform facilitating motor vehicle transactions, MotoBidz takes its verification obligations seriously.

What we verify for all dealers

• CIPC company registration (active business)
• Motor Dealer Licence (valid trading licence)
• Identity of the account holder

Why we verify dealer documents

Motor vehicle transactions are a known target for fraud and money laundering. Collecting and checking dealer documents on file is part of how MotoBidz keeps private individuals and unregistered traders off the bidding side. MotoBidz does not verify sellers, vehicles or the contents of any document uploaded by either party — that remains the responsibility of the dealer and seller in the direct private transaction that follows an accepted bid.

What dealers need to provide

• CIPC registration number
• Motor Dealer Licence number
• Business trading address
• Contact details of the authorised representative

Verification timeline

We aim to complete the review within 24 hours of application submission.
